Just came across an article from The London Free Press.
A London native will direct a documentary about London Music Hall of Fame metal band Kittie.
Rob McCallum, featured recently in The Free Press for his latest film, Missing Mom, will film the band that exploded on the music scene in 1999 with the album, Spit.
It was originally announced that award-winning music video director David Brodsky would direct the documentary, but he was unable to meet the band’s time lines due to other commitments.
“When I finished filming the documentary Nintendo Quest (about a man’s effort to collect more than 600 Nintendo games in 30 days) I contacted them to ask if they had a song for it,” said McCallum.
“Then, they contacted me in January and asked if I’d be interested in doing this documentary. Who wouldn’t want to do a rockumentary about a band from your own hometown who’ve sold almost two million records?”
McCallum spent the week filming interviews with the band, current and former members, at Call The Office, the venue where they played their first gig.
